Ivy Shapiro
FounderIvy Shapiro has worked in the contemporary art world for over thirty-five years. She brings her expertise to this full-service art advisory specializing in post-war and contemporary art.
Ivy held the position of Senior Director at Art Agency Partners for thirteen years, where she fostered and advised a global roster of clients building museum-worthy collections. In addition to sourcing works, Ivy guided and educated clients through tours of collections both private and public, and traveled to art fairs and exhibitions around the world.

Prior to joining Art Agency Partners, Ivy worked at Gladstone Gallery for ten years as Director and later as Partner. At Gladstone, she oversaw all aspects of the gallery’s operation – from working with artists to sales – and gained a foundational understanding of the art market.
Ivy has also served as an art consultant for feature films, including The Meyerowitz Stories with Noah Baumbach and As Good As It Gets with James L. Brooks, assuring that the films’ representation of art, artists, and the art world were true-to-form and authentic.
In addition to advising, Ivy organizes exhibitions. Most recently, she organized Painting in New York: 1971–83 at Karma Gallery, which was on view in their New York galleries from September 21 to November 5, 2022.
She began her career at Paula Cooper Gallery on Wooster Street while still in high school and later worked at Pace Gallery’s first downtown space on Greene Street.
Ivy attended Oberlin and New York University and holds an M.A. from the Institute of Fine Arts at New York University, where she studied with Linda Nochlin, Kenneth E. Silver, and Kirk Varnedoe.
Oidie Kuijpers
DirectorOidie Kuijpers joins Ivy Shapiro & Partners as Director. Oidie comes to the team after completing his MFA in Painting at Pratt Institute in 2022.

After completing his undergraduate studies at Oberlin College, Oidie worked as the Curatorial Assistant to the Office of Academic Programs at the Allen Memorial Art Museum. Following his yearlong fellowship at the AMAM, Oidie began working at Pace Gallery, where he served as Sales Assistant to the President. At Pace, Oidie worked directly with both clients and artists to realize sales, exhibitions, public projects, and catalogues for gallery artists globally. In 2019, Oidie left Pace Gallery to pursue a graduate degree in fine art at Pratt. While there, he served as an undergraduate teaching assistant and was Co-Coordinator of the Pratt Artists League.
Throughout his career, Oidie has worked freelance positions for numerous private collections, galleries, artists, and museums. Alongside his work with Ivy Shapiro & Partners, Oidie maintains his own studio and practice.
Aubrey Saget
Operations ManagerAubrey Saget joins Ivy Shapiro & Partners having worked with Ivy Shapiro for over ten years. She received her BA at New York University in 2009, and her MFA from New York University in 2016.

Since graduating, she has worked in gallery operations and on curatorial projects at various institutions throughout the contemporary art space. In addition, she co-founded Studio 200, an artist collective, in 2013.
Alongside her work with Ivy Shapiro & Partners, Aubrey maintains her own studio and practice.
